The Portland Kendo Club is a 503(c) non-profit organization that is part of the Pacific Northwest Kendo Federation (PNKF) and All United States Kendo Federation (AUSKF). Our instructors, members, and family donate their time and energy to promote the art and lifestyle of kendo.
Our club's goals are:
To share cultural diversity.

To teach the benefits of hard work, discipline, and dedication.
To provide a positive influence for the community.
To promote sportsmanship.
The sensei at the Portland Kendo Club donate their time and energy to teach our classes and students. They have a variety of backgrounds and experience, and all work together to improve our students' lives and kendo level.
Steve Choi has been the head instructor of the Portland Kendo Club since 2009. He has been doing kendo for over twenty years.
